WFA: Shilane

Finally, the most recent WFA fanart jam that I finished on Wednesday. It's probably my favorite, and it also took the most work (well..maybe the Poj one took more). It is of Shilane's character by the same name. Yes, she is a vampire, however, she is out of context. I admit that I had fun playing with a Dracula themed setting since I'm reading that book (it's soooooooo good). Instead of her usual getup, she is wearing a victorianesq dress. I tried to set a mood for this piece, which I normally don't strive to do. The background was fun to paint, and the tree is my favorite. Shilane's hair was my least favorite part to do because next to rendering her skin, it took the longest.

This piece is also the first done completely on mac, and I haven't checked the coloring with my pc yet, so if the saturation or anything seem a bit odd, let me know and I may play with it a bit.
